Spring has sprung at The Woolpack

January 18, 2008

We know that because we have new arrivals:  Lambs, yarns, buttons, bags, and more.

Our new yarns and accessories have started to arrive.  Our Laurel Burch bags have been restocked, plus we have a new line of bags and needle cases from Two Sticks made from recycled knitwear with funky embellishments.

Berroco’s Seduce blend of Rayon, Linen, Silk and Nylon is in along with patterns from Berroco and Norah Gaughan’s Book 2.  Berroco’s Comfort in worsted, dk and sock weights also arrived.  It’s already shown a great response in 50/50 nylon/acrylic it’s machine wash, machine dry.  Check out the yarn at  Berroco.com or stop in an squeeze the yarns and samples.

From Noro we have more Kuryeon and Cash Island, a blend of wool, cashmere and nylon.  Frog Tree has added melange alpaca mixes in the sport weight so come check these out.

If there is a baby in your future, Knit One Crochet Too introduced Baby Boo, a dk yarn in 45% bamboo and 55% nylon in 12 colors.  In the sock world, we brought in Araucania’s Ranco hand-painted in Chile on a blend of 75% wool, 25% poly.  Our wildest find while at our Spring/Summer trade show is “Flat Feet” which we are anxiously awaiting but in the mean time you can check them out at www.conjoinedcreations.com.

The first four-legged arrivals were a set of twin girls followed by a single ram.  Daughter Lesley says the ram is big but ugly and the twin girl with the pretty face is boxy looking and the delicate framed girl and a sad face.  She has some pretty high standards for her sheep but given the show competition, she has too be choosy.
