OK, it’s probably not scientically proven, but I felt like a kid again last weekend. Our future daughter in law Heather lives with us and had a birthday Aug. 26. She decided to have a weekend long celebration complete with moon walk and a cotton candy machine in our back yard. That’s Saturday, Sunday and Monday with cotton candy on demand. Imagine how cool it was to walk to the back porch morning, noon and night, flip the swith and voila – cotton candy. OK, I’m going on a bit, but I think I’m still suffering from the sugar rush.
At The Woolpack yarn shop, our snail mail newsletter appears to have been sent via Siberia but those who have checked out the website www.woolpackyarn.com have been registering already. A few classes have filled but we’re looking to add on additional sessions. A knitter’s journey – as a beginner, the pace is slow, the progress barely discernable, then you “get it.” Then you find your groove, take joy in the simple pleasure and sense of accomplishment. You’re groove becomes your comfort zone. But, if your groove is beginning to feel like a rut, a class is a great way to expand your comfort zone with the security of a safety net – before your rut becomes a trench.
